科学的な集中力の出し方
勉強は量ではありません。質です。
これはたぶん、この先、このコラムでも何度でも言う気がしますが、
長い間、時間をかけてだらだら勉強するよりも、
短い時間、すごく集中して勉強するほうがはるかに効率的です。
勉強を効率よくやる方法については、これから書いていきますが、
まずは、どうやったら集中力を出せるか、という話をしようと思います。
これは精神的な話というより、もはや科学のお話です。
まあ、体調管理をしろとか細かいことはいろいろありますし、
それらはまた別の機会で書くことにして、
今回は「机に座った瞬間集中力をつける」というものを書いてみます。
これはものすごく単純です。
普段から、自習室や自分の部屋で、勉強をしようと思った時に、
まず机に座ると思うのですが、
その際に、ある一つのことをやるだけです。
何をするかというと、机に座った瞬間に勉強をする、というものです。
すごく単純に聞こえますよね。
でもこれが効果的なんです。
椅子に座った瞬間、つまりお尻が椅子についた瞬間に、
すぐに勉強を始める、という癖をつけておくと、
そのうちに脳が「座ったら勉強開始だ」と思い込み、
すぐに勉強に対応した脳に切り替わるのです。
みんな経験があると思うのですが、
椅子に座っても結構だらだらとしてしまい、
なかなか勉強始められなかったりしますよね。
気持ちすごいわかるんですが、このことだけを注意しておくと
いざ試験本番の時にもすぐに勉強のための脳に切り替わるので、
集中できずに終わる、ということが少なくなるのです。
なんか単純でくだらないことだと思うかもしれませんが、
だまされたと思ってやってみてください。
少なくても、椅子に座ったが、何もしないだらだらした時間をすごすよりは効果的でしょう。
